Kathmandu, Nov 14: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Secretariat member and former lawmaker Santosh Pariyar has resigned from the party.
Pariyar, who also served as the chief whip of the RSP in the dissolved House of Representatives, submitted his resignation to acting party president Dol Prasad Aryal on Thursday.
In his resignation letter, Pariyar said he was leaving the party to pursue “a different kind of political campaign” that he believes is necessary to align Nepal’s political movement with “national interest and the lives of the people” in the current context. He stated that he would no longer hold any responsibility within the party and would not remain even a general member.
RSP spokesperson Manish Jha confirmed Pariyar’s exit and extended best wishes for his future political journey. Earlier, former Education Minister Sumana Shrestha had also resigned from the party.
