Kathmandu, March 10: The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front) comprising CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand have emphasized the need for the republicans to unite and move forward.
The meeting of the Morcha convened in Singha Durbar on Monday assessed that the monarchy could not serve in the interest of country and people and yet, royalists were trying to take advantage of the despair among people.
In attendance in the meeting were CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal and Netra Bikram Chand of Communist Party of Nepal among others.
The Morcha announced that it will convene another meeting tomorrow where the leaders will voice their opinions about the latest political activities.
During the meeting, Dahal, also former Prime Minister, observed that the reactionary forces were seeking opportunity to rise again due to the activities of the incumbent government.
Similarly, Nepal, also former Prime Minister, underscored unity among republicans to safeguard the achievements gained from an enduring struggle of various political parties.
Likewise, Nepal Samajwadi Party (Naya Shakti)’s leader Ganga Narayan Shrestha shared that the Morcha was preparing to launch a host of rigorous programmes at the time when the country was being pushed into tight corners.
