Kathmandu, March 6: Pradeep Bista of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the House of Representatives seat from Kathmandu Constituency No. 10.
According to the Office of the Election Officer, Bista secured 37,469 votes, while his nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Himal Karki, received 8,100 votes. A total of 2,093 votes were invalidated, the election office said. Counting for the constituency’s proportional representation votes is scheduled to begin on Saturday.
Bista, born in Ward No. 4 of Kirtipur Municipality in 2031 BS, had also contested the previous parliamentary elections as an RSP candidate.
