RSP to play supportive role in promoting national interest and unity

Kathmandu, Sept 13: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has said that it would play a supportive role in promoting national interest, unity, and harmony.

Party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti in a statement today recalled the expectations from the interim government and clearly stated that there would be resistance if the newly formed government deviates from the declared goals.

“The party is clear that if the government deviates from the declared goals, there will be resistance, and we will play a supportive role in promoting overall national interest, unity, and harmony,” the statement mentions.

The RSP has mentioned that while the country has achieved its first female prime minister through the ‘Gen-Z’ movement with the support of the party, questions have been raised from the perspective of constitutional compliance.

Similarly, it is expected that the general elections scheduled for March 5, 2026 to be conducted successfully by the interim government. The statement indicates expectations for a peaceful transfer of power, uninterrupted enjoyment of democratic rights, strong measures against extreme corruption and impunity in accordance with good governance bound by law, reconstruction and economic reforms, strengthened international relations, and rapid development.
