RSP candidate Kharel elected HoR Member from Lalitpur-2

Patan (Lalitpur), March 8: Jagadish Kharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the election to the Member of House of Representatives (HoR) by a large margin of votes from Lalitpur Constituency No. 2.

According to Lalitpur Constituency No. 2 Election Officer Samjana Simkhada Pudasaini, Kharel has won by securing 39,941 votes. His closest competitor, Prem Krishna Maharjan of the Nepali Congress, received 7,420 votes.

Similarly, Ujiyalo Nepal Party candidate Rajaram Tandukar got 5,547 votes and CPN (UML) candidate Prem Bahadur Maharjan received 4,536 votes.

In Lalitpur-2, which has a total of 89,082 voters, 61,975, including 31,035 women and 30,940 men, had voted. There were 23 candidates from political parties and also independents in the election race in this constituency.
