Real Madrid edge past Juventus to reach Club World Cup quarterfinals

Agency, July 12: Spanish giants Real Madrid have booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup after edging out Juventus 1-0 in the Round of 16 on Tuesday night.

The match, played at Hard Rock Stadium, remained goalless in the first half. The breakthrough came in the 54th minute when Gonzalo Garcia scored the decisive goal, putting Madrid ahead. Despite chances on both ends, neither side managed to add to the scoreline, and Madrid held on for a hard-fought victory.

With this win, Real Madrid advance to face the winner of the upcoming clash between Borussia Dortmund and Monterrey in the quarterfinals.
