Agency, November 24: In Spain’s La Liga, Real Madrid were held to a 2–2 draw against Elche. The match, played on Sunday night at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero, saw Madrid drop points despite a strong fightback.
Elche took the lead in the 53rd minute through Álex Fabas. Real Madrid equalized in the 78th minute when Dean Huijsen found the net. But Elche restored their advantage in the 84th minute with a goal from Álvaro Rodríguez.
Just three minutes later, Jude Bellingham scored to level the match at 2–2 for Madrid. Elche were reduced to 10 players in the sixth minute of stoppage time after Víctor Chust received a red card, but Real Madrid were unable to capitalize.
Despite the draw, Real Madrid remain at the top of the La Liga table with 32 points from 13 matches. Elche, with 16 points from 13 games, sit in 11th place.
