Playing at the Mestalla Stadium, Madrid took the lead in the 65th minute through Álvaro Carreras, who broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal. The visitors sealed the win deep into stoppage time when Kylian Mbappé found the net in the first minute of injury time, finishing calmly after a pass from Brahim Díaz.
With this win, Real Madrid move up to second place in the La Liga standings, collecting 57 points from 23 matches and tightening the title race at the top. Valencia, meanwhile, remain in 17th position with 23 points from the same number of games, continuing their struggle near the relegation zone.
