Kathmandu, Sept 14: Newly appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki has assumed office today. Karki, who was appointed as the Prime Minister of the Interim Government on September 12, took charge of her office at a new building of the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar.
On the occasion, Chief Secretary of the government, Eaknarayan Aryal, secretaries, chiefs and office-bearers of security bodies were present.
After assuming the office, Prime Minister Karki enquired about the activities of the concerned ministries with secretaries, including the Chief Secretary.
President Ramchandra Paudel had appointed Karki as the Prime Minister of Interim Government on September 12 in the aftermath of the Gen Z protest on September 8 and 9.
