Kathmandu, Sept 11: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has underlined the need of proceeding with the formation of new government as per constitutional provisions.
Former President Bhandari issued a press release on Thursday, reminding the situation that resignation tendered by the Prime Minister following the GenZ protest was already accepted. The President and the elected institutions are still in place, so new political course should be forwarded in line with the constitution and the demands and spirit of the GenZ people.
She expressed sorrow over the human and physical loss during the protest. Bhandari further urged a thorough study on how the demonstration turned violent, causing massive damages.
