Kathmandu, Sept 17: Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated VC Diamond of Tajikistan to register its third consecutive victory in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Club Championship tournament underway in the Maldives.
In the match held in the capital Male today, NPC defeated VC Diamond in straight sets of 3-0. Earlier, NPC had defeated Uzbekistan’s Humo Volleyball Club in the first match and Sri Lankan Air Force in the second match, both in straight sets of 3-0.
In today’s match, NPC won the first set by 25-15, the second set by 25-12 and the third set by 25-15.
The NPC is participating in the club championship as the winner of Nepal’s domestic volleyball league.
The NPC will now play against the host Maldivian club on September 19.
