Surunga (Jhapa), Feb 6: Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has said the entry of new generation in national politics is expected and positive.
Chairman Oli said it is wrong to discourage youths who want to engage actively in politics. He said it while talking briefly to media persons at Chandragadhi airport on Friday. “It is good if the new generation shows interest in politics,” he said, underlining the need for generational change in politics.
The former prime minister, who is also contesting the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election from constituency no 5 of Jhapa district, however, argued, “The fusion of experience and energy help in developing political culture.” It is welcome in deed if anyone comes in political and electoral fray with him.
The Chairman also said healthy competition is a prerequisite for democratic exercise.
