Kathmandu, Nov 11: Nepali workers working abroad without obtaining a labour permit will now be able to get legal status by obtaining a labour permit.
Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Sharatsingh Bhandari said that the Ministry has decided to issue them labour permits considering September 2024 as the cut-off date.
For the new labour permit, the workers have to register their biometrics and hence there might be some labour as some diplomatic mission do not have such facility.
Minister Bhandari said the diplomatic missions in the respective countries as well as Nepali organizations shall be mobilized to bring the workers to the process of labour permit.
