Kathmandu, Oct 14: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that Nepal will not allow any activities on its soil that could undermine China’s sovereignty, unity, or territorial integrity.
During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday, Minister Aryal reaffirmed Nepal’s firm and unwavering commitment to the “One China Policy,” according to the minister’s secretariat.
Minister Aryal praised the strong friendship and mutual trust between Nepal and China, founded on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence (Panchsheel) and 70 years of diplomatic ties. He expressed Nepal’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, technology transfer, and tourism.
The two sides also discussed moving forward with priority projects under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the secretariat added.
