Nepal Pharma Expo concludes after showcasing state of art manufacturing technology

Kathmandu, March 14: The three-day Nepal Pharma Expo 2026, organised by the Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal (APPON), has concluded.
With the main theme, ‘Innovation in Pharma, Health for Tomorrow’, the expo was held on March 12-14.

This is the 10th edition of expo, which APPON has been organising every two years. President of APPON, Biplab Adhikari, said that this expo was organised to assure that world-class and quality medicines are produced in Nepal.

He said, “We have organised the expo to inform the public about the kind of technologies developed to manufacture medicines in the global context. We are making Nepali medicines by adopting newly invented technologies.”

Adhikari also urged people not to have any doubts about the quality of medicines produced in Nepal.

Shailesh Baidya, the media coordinator of the Expo, stated that the Expo was organised to show the public that medicines are being manufactured in Nepal according to international standards and quality.

According to him, more than 25,000 people have visited the expo in three days. The expo had more than 200 exhibition stalls, and of these, more than 90 percent were run by foreign and multinational companies.

At the Expo the latest raw materials, packaging materials, and state-of-the-art machinery available in the global market were displayed, along with the progress and production of the domestic pharmaceutical industry.
