Nepal beat UAE in ICC women’s Asia Cup Cricket

Kathmandu, July 19: Nepal has defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in today’s match under the ACC Women Asia Cup Cricket Tournament, 2024.

In the recently concluded match at the Dambulla international stadium of Sri Lanka, Nepal has made a good start beating the UAE by six wickets.

Chasing a target of 116 runs to win, Nepal made it in 16.1 overs at the loss of four wickets. Samjhana Khadka was the top scorer for Nepal with 72 runs. She hit 11 fours in her 45-ball innings.
Likewise, Rubina Chhetri scored 10 runs while Sita Rana Magar and Puja Mahato contributed seven runs each.

For UAE, Kavisha Egodage took three wickets while Lavanya Kenny took one wicket.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, UAE scored 115 runs at the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
Indu Barma took highest three wickets for Nepal. Kritika Marasini, Sabnam Rai and Kabita Joshi took one wicket each.
Nepal will play its second match against Pakistan on July 21.
