NCP urges govt to uphold spirit of impartiality

Kathmandu, March 28: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has congratulated the new government formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

Issuing a press statement on Saturday, the chief secretary of the NCP central office, Ganeshman Pun, has extended best wishes for the successful tenure of the Shah-led government formed by getting the majority from the House of Representatives (HoR) elections conducted on March 5.

Likewise, the party has urged the government to maintain impartiality, due legal process and rule of law regarding the implementation of the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed to probe into the issues of the Gen-Z protests. The party has asked the government not to violate the principle of the rule of law, legal process and spirit of neutrality while taking any action in this regard, adding that any decision taken on the basis of political prejudices will result in conflict in the country.
