Kathmandu, March 9: Tul Prasad Bishwakarma of Rastriya Janamorcha has said, “Monarchy can’t be an alternative to republic.”
Speaking at a special hour of the National Assembly today, he said the statements by some people that they would reinstate the former monarch to Narayanhiti Palace (Museum) are concerning. He drew the government’s attention towards that end and said: “Monarchy can’t be the alternative to republic.”
Bishwakarma also urged the government to address the problems of people affected by wildlife in the eastern part of Saptari, strengthen the local levels, ensure free education and health and address concerns of agitating community schools teachers.
