NAC’s attention drawn over Kathmandu – Guangzhou flight

Kathmandu, Oct 14: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has said its attention has been drawn towards the news published in various media that its Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight scheduled for October 19 has been cancelled due to less number of passengers.

Corporation’s spokesperson Subas Dangi in a statement he issued on Monday stated that the Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight on 19 October was cancelled due to internal reasons.

He said alternative arrangements have been made for passengers who were scheduled to travel to Guangzhou on that date.
According to NAC, the national flag-carrier, 68 tickets have been sold for the October 16 flight on the Kathmandu–Guangzhou–Kathmandu sector, while 41 passengers have booked the return flight on October 17 from Guangzhou to Kathmandu.

Similarly, 93 tickets have already been sold for the October 23 Kathmandu–Guangzhou flight, and 20 tickets for the return flight on October 24.

The Kathmandu–Guangzhou route is a newly launched international destination for NAC and is still in the process of being fully promoted, it is said.
