Gorkha, June 17: The mountain climbers from Dharche rural municipality of Gorkha district have been felicitated. The Atharsayakhola Tamu Society feted 18 persons climbing the mountains above 8,000 metres.
They were honoured amidst a programme in the federal capital, Kathmandu, on Monday. Vice Chairman of the Indigenous Nationalities Upliftment Foundation, Resham Gurung, Chairman of Dharche rural municipality, Laxman Gurung, and Chairman of Atharsayakhola Tamu Society, Dhan Bahadur Gurung, honoured the climbers.
Those feted climbers were Pur Bahadur Gurung, Iman Gurung, Suman Gurung, Om Bahadur Gurung, Sandip Gurung, Ram Bahadur Gurung, Sujal Gurung, Nanu Maya Gurung, Budh Gurung, Keshav Gurung, Purna Gurung, Mulal Gurung, Bish Bahadur Gurug, Dambar Gurung, Manuman Gurung, Tulsing Gurung and Ash Bahadur Gurung.
They were honoured for earning esteem to the Gurung community.
