Minister Gupta Resigns

Kathmandu, Jan 19:  Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta has resigned from his post ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives election.

Gupta stepped down after deciding to file his candidacy for the parliamentary election scheduled for Falgun 21.

He said he is currently in Siraha for the nomination process and has sent his resignation to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers via email. He added that he has also informed the Prime Minister about his resignation by telephone.

Gupta was appointed Minister for Youth and Sports in the government formed after the Gen-Z movement. He had been representing the Gen-Z generation in the current cabinet.
