Agency, May 5: French forward Kylian Mbappé scored twice to help Real Madrid secure a comfortable win in La Liga. In the match held on Sunday night, Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Mbappé netted a brace, while Arda Güler added another to seal the victory for the hosts. For Celta, Javi Rodríguez and Williot Swedberg each scored one goal.
Arda Güler opened the scoring in the 33rd minute to give Real Madrid an early lead. Just six minutes later, in the 39th minute, Mbappé doubled the advantage with a clinical finish.
Mbappé struck again in the 48th minute to make it 3-0, putting Madrid firmly in control. However, Celta mounted a spirited response — Rodríguez pulled one back in the 69th minute, followed by Swedberg’s goal in the 76th minute, bringing the score to 3-2.
Despite late pressure from the visitors, Madrid held on to secure all three points.
With the win, Real Madrid now sit second in the table with 75 points from 34 matches. Celta Vigo, with 46 points from the same number of games, are currently in seventh place.
