Leader Koirala for party’s general convention before elections

Kakrebihar (Surkhet), Feb 20: Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has asserted that party’s general convention should be held before the next general elections.

At a programme organized by NC in Surkhet on Wednesday, leader Koirala said there is no groupism in the party and now we all are establishment side. The party general convention should be held on time as per NC’s statute. The NC will become weak if it is held after the elections.

He also announced himself as a candidate to the post of president of the party in the coming general convention.

Though the incumbent government had signed seven-point deal, it has not been implemented, the NC leader argued. He added it was wrong to say that there would be autocracy if two large parties forge a ruling alliance.
