Jumla supplies apples worth 614 million

Jumla, Nov. 1: The district of Jumla produced a total of 20,511 metric tonnes of apples this year. Of the total production, the farmers and suppliers exported almost 9,400 metric tonnes of apples from Jumla.

The Agriculture Development Office in Jumla shared that the quantity of apples was grown in 4,250 hectares of land in Jumla.

Chief of Office, Balakram Devkota said that all eight local levels in the district supplied apples worth Rs 614.1 million.

Office Chief Devkota said that the apple grown in the district was sent to the other districts through airways and roadways.

He said that 74 metric tonnes of apples were exported to the other cities by planes.
It is said that 837 traders supplied apples from Jumla.
Devkota said that the farmers from Jumla sold their apples at an average rate of Rs 60 per kilogram.
