Interim order to not suspend KMC police chief

Kathmandu, June 18: The High Court, Patan has issued an interim order to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) asking it not to suspend its police chief Rajunath Pande.
A division bench of high court Judge Rishi Rajbhandari and Dilliratna Shrestha ordered KMC to give continuity to municipal police chief Pande in his work. Information to this was shared by information officer at High Court, Parbati Hitan.

Chief Administrative Officer at KMC, Saroj Guragain, had suspended Pande on June 3 for six months. Against this, Pande had filed a writ petition of certiorari.

Pande has been allowed to continue his works till the final hearing of the petition.
