Agency, Feb 7: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 gets underway today in India and Sri Lanka, with three matches scheduled on the opening day.
The tournament opener will see Netherlands take on Pakistan in a Group ‘A’ clash. The match will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo, starting at 11:15 AM.
In the second match of the day, Scotland face West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, with the game set to begin at 3:15 PM.
The third and final match of the day will feature the hosts India against the United States. The encounter will be held at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, starting at 7:15 PM.
The 2026 T20 World Cup features 20 teams, with a total of 55 matches to be played throughout the tournament.
