Kathmandu, Dec 8: The Home Ministry has instructed the District Administration Offices (DAOs) to create a record of 45 Gen Z martyrs who laid down their lives during the the last September Uprising.
Today, the ministry issued a circular to all 77 District Administration Offices, mandating that the list be kept at the office of the Chief District Officers within three days.
The ministry stated that Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal took the ministerial decision to this effect today.
Among those who lost their lives during the protests on September 8 and 9, 45 individuals have been officially recognized as martyrs by the government.
The announcement concerning the martyr declaration was published in the Nepal Gazette on November 3.
