Kathmandu, Sept 21: The government has decided to remove Hitendra Dev Shakya from the post of Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
A Cabinet meeting on Sunday resolved to dismiss Shakya and appoint Manoj Silwal as the new Executive Director.
Shakya had been appointed during the tenure of the KP Oli-led government after the removal of Kulman Ghising. With Ghising now serving as Minister for Energy, the Cabinet has replaced Shakya with Silwal.
