Ghorahi (Dang), April 18: Four people died in separate road accidents in Dang and Bara districts on Friday.
A person died on the spot in a road accident occurred at Rapti Rural Municipality-5 in Dang district. Similarly, another critically injured person died in course of treatment in a health facility.
The deceased has been identified as Nil Saroj Yadav, 56, of Rajpur Rural Municipality-5 while identity of another deceased is yet to be ascertained, said Superintendent of Police (SP), Arjun Prasad Timilsina.
The accident took place when a bus (Ba 3 Kha 7996) coming towards Lamahi from Krishnanagar met an accident due to over speed.
Similarly, 10 other persons were injured in the accident and are receiving treatment at Sisahaniya and Lamahi.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed when a tipper and a car collided with each other at Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-16 in Bara district.
A deceased has been identified as Narayan Hari Sharma, 46, of Barahathawa Municipality-15 in Sarlahi district while identity of another deceased, car driver, is yet to be confirmed, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Bara, Bijay Raj Pandit.
The accident took place when a tipper (Pra-03-001 Kha 0607) heading towards Pathalaiya from Nijgadh and a car (Ba 01-025 Cha 5076) collided with each other.
Both of them died in course of treatment. A search for the absconding tipper driver is underway, said police.
