Kathmandu, April 23: The government has decided to provide relief assistance worth Rs 1 million each to the families of Sabin Maharjan and Suresh Rajak, who died in the fatal incident that took place in Tinkune on March 28.
Minister for Communications and Information Technology and government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung shared the decision of the Council of Ministers at a press conference organized here today.
Similarly, the government has decided to form a 15-member high-level governance reform commission under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
Minister Gurung said that the government decided to give consent to obtain a loan assistance of USD 100 million from the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) for the implementation of an Electricity Transmission and Distribution Project and to form a negotiation team under the coordination of the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance to finalize the financial agreement related to the loan.
