Everest Women’s Volleyball League: Lalitpur Queens defeats Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Sept 30: Lalitpur Queens has defeated Kathmandu Spikers in today’s match held under the Everest Women’s Volleyball League today. The franchise-based league is being held for the first time in Nepali volleyball history.

Lalitpur defeated Kathmandu by 3-1 victory in today’s inaugural match held at covered hall of Tripureshwor-based National Sports Council.

Lalitpur won the first set by 25-20 points while Kathmandu won the second set. Lalitpur then won last two sets by 25-21 and 25-19 respectively.

Infinity Dreams Pvt Ltd has organized the league with the participation of six franchise teams.
Other teams include Madhes United, Chitwan Shakti, Gandaki Thunders and Team Karnali. All the teams have foreign players.

In the league, all the teams played against each other and top two teams would contest for the title.
The final match would be held on October 5.
