DPM Paudel and US Assistant Secretary Lu hold meeting

Kathmandu, Dec.9: A meeting has been held between Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and United States (US) Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu.

Financial support, effective implementation of projects under MCC and USAID, development finance, investment in the private sector, and other issues were discussed in the meeting.

DPN and Finance Minister Paudel has urged to extend US financial assistance saying that now Nepal’s top priority is financial prosperity because of political stability in the country.

Lu expressed happiness over financial rise and stability in Nepal though some nations in South Asia are facing financial challenges.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Paudel’s secretariat, Lu said that America is in favor of providing more financial support to Nepal in the future.
