Agency, March 30: France registered a comfortable victory in an international friendly after defeating Colombia 3-1 on Sunday night.
At Northwest Stadium, Desire Doue starred for France with a brilliant brace, while Marcus Thuram also found the net. Jhaminton Campaz scored the lone consolation goal for Colombia.
France took the lead in the 29th minute when Doue opened the scoring with a fine finish. The hosts doubled their advantage before halftime as Thuram struck in the 41st minute, giving France a 2-0 lead at the break.
Doue then netted his second goal of the match in the 56th minute to put France firmly in control and move them closer to victory.
Colombia pulled one back in the 77th minute through Campaz, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation as France comfortably held on for a 3-1 win.
With no further goals in the remaining minutes, France sealed an impressive and dominant result in the friendly encounter.
