Delay in governor appointment affects economic sector: Chair Dahal

Baitadi, May 16: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said the national economy would see negative impact if the appointment of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor is delayed more. He urged the government to quickly fulfill the vacant post.

Inaugurating the party’s awakening campaign focused on mid-hill highway at Patan in Baitadi district, Chairman Dahal expressed concern over the delay in government appointment. “It is against people’s will to prolong this issue,” he said, adding that his party launched the campaign focusing the mid-hill highway to unite the people from mountain, hills and southern plains and contribute to country’s development.

The party would keep a close watch on government, the former Prime Minister said, adding that country could not prosper leaving Sudurpaschim Province backward.
