Ilam, Oct 5: The death toll of landslide occurred at different places in Ilam district has reached 34.
As per the information received as of 1:00 pm today, four persons have gone missing in the landslide. The post-mortem of 11 deceased has already been carried out, according to Chief District Officer of Ilam, Sunita Nepal.
Detail of the damages is being received, added the District Administration Office. Five people lost their lives in landslide at Suryodaya municipality-1, six in Ilam municipality-6, four in Sandakpur rural municipality, three in Mangsebung rural municipality, eight in Deumai municipality, seven in Maijogmai rural municipality and one in Phakphokthum rural municipality, shared Nepal.
Similarly, two persons at Sandakpur rural municipality and one each at Ilam municipality and Maijogmai rural municipality have gone missing in the landslide.
