Kathmandu, Nov 10: The government has appointed Additional Inspector General (AIG) Dan Bahadur Karki as the new Inspector General of Nepal Police.
Minister for Communication, Information and Technology Jagdish Kharel informed that Monday’s Cabinet meeting decided to promote Karki to the top post.
The appointment comes ahead of the mandatory retirement of incumbent IGP Dhiraj Kuber Khapung, who is set to retire on November 11 (Kartik 26). Karki will assume leadership of the national police force following Khapung’s departure.
