Kathmandu, July 15: China’s Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau has aided sports goods and health test kits to the National Sports Council (NSC).
At a programme organized today at the International Sports Complex, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of China in Nepal, Wang Xin handed over different 34 types of sports materials worth Rs 8.5 million to NSC’s member-secretary, Tanka Lal Ghising,
On the occasion, NSC’s vice-chairperson Dhruba Acharya, owing thanks to the Chinese government for the assistance, expressed his confidence that the sports materials would be helpful in the training of the players.
Member-Secretary Ghising said Nepal and China have established good relations in several areas, and shared that China has pledged to provide the aid every year.
Likewise, Deputy Chief of Mission Wang expressed the confidence that the support would contribute to an extent to the development of the Nepali sports sector.
