Kathmandu, May 1: General Secretary of CPN (Maoist Centre), Dev Prasad Gurung, has said his recent China visit has been successful in further consolidating the bilateral ties between the two nations.
The leader who recently returned from the northern neigbour was speaking at an interaction organised by the Sambad Dabali here today. “China is always ready to cooperate in Nepal’s efforts for achieving peace, prosperity, and political stability,” said Gurung, who was invited to visit China by the International Department of the Communist Party of China.
“|We are encouraged by the meeting with Chinese senior officials. China is ever ready to help Nepal achieve prosperity, peace, and political stability. China wishes to see a stable government in Nepal. It also yearns for collaboration among the communist parties,” he said.
Maoist Centre leader led a 30-member delegation to the visit. On a different note, he said the existing government would continue until the upcoming parliamentary election. Till the remaining term of the parliament, the government goes with the existing political equation, he said.
According to him, the recent Third Nepal Investment Summit (April 28-29) was successful and it is time to encourage foreign investment and capital to create more jobs and take the nation towards prosperity.
