Kathmandu, Oct 16: China has officially handed over the newly constructed building of Jiri Secondary School to Nepal. The school building, built with the support of the Chinese government, was handed over on Thursday by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ambassador Song expressed his happiness at officially transferring the school to Nepal. He said the Jiri Secondary School is one of ten “gift schools” provided by China, aimed at creating a better learning environment for Nepal’s young generation.
Ambassador Song reaffirmed that China will continue to stand by Nepal at all times.
