Agency, May 29: English club Chelsea has won the UEFA Conference League title. In the final held on Wednesday night, Chelsea defeated Spanish side Real Betis with a commanding 4-1 victory.
The final took place in Poland, where Chelsea’s goals came from Enzo Fernández, Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho, and Moisés Caicedo, each scoring once. For Real Betis, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli scored the lone goal. Despite taking an early lead, Betis failed to maintain their momentum and eventually succumbed to Chelsea’s dominance.
Ezzalzouli gave Betis a promising start by scoring in the 9th minute, putting them ahead early in the match. However, Chelsea mounted a strong comeback in the second half.
In the 65th minute, Enzo Fernández leveled the score at 1-1. Just five minutes later, in the 70th minute, Nicolas Jackson scored to put Chelsea ahead 2-1. Jadon Sancho extended the lead in the 83rd minute, putting Chelsea in firm control.
In injury time, Moisés Caicedo sealed the victory with Chelsea’s fourth goal, ensuring a dominant 4-1 win.
With this triumph, Chelsea has become the first club to win all four major UEFA competitions, cementing their place in European football history.
