Kathmandu, Sept 17: Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has paid tributes to all those who lost their lives during the Gen-Z protests in the country lately.
In a condolence message on Wednesday, Chair Nepal expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. He also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured during the protests.
Chair Nepal recalled that his party had supported and expressed solidarity for the demands of Gen-Z protests, adding that the arrogance and dominance of the then government had caused a huge loss of lives and property instead of addressing the genuine demands.
The message reads, “The protest should be accepted as the result of frustration and anger evolved among the people for failing to establish transparent and accountable governance systems as per the people’s wishes and aspirations. Difference between the lifestyle of leaders and people, corruption and unemployment are also the reasons behind it.”
Chair Nepal clarified that they are always ready to join hands and collaborate with all political parties, civil society, state and private sector as well as other sides of the society.
