Kathmandu, Sept 25: The government has decided to have the registration and renewal of online media undertaken from the Department of Information and Broadcasting.
Disclosing decisions of the Council of Ministers meeting held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel shared the information.
It may be noted that the erstwhile government had decided to carry out registration and renewal of online media from the local administration office.
The government has decided to designated Communications Minister Kharel as the spokesperson of the government, he informed.
Likewise, he said that the first meeting of the cabinet with his participation has made some other decisions related to the communication sector and remaining decisions would be disclosed during the regular press meet on Friday.
