Agency, March 22: London club Chelsea suffered a heavy defeat in the English Premier League after going down 3-0 to Everton on Saturday night.
In the match played at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Beto starred for Everton with a brilliant brace, while Iliman Ndiaye added another goal to seal an emphatic victory.
Everton took the lead in the 33rd minute when Beto found the back of the net to put the hosts ahead. The striker doubled both his tally and Everton’s advantage in the 62nd minute, giving Chelsea a mountain to climb.
The home side put the result beyond doubt in the 76th minute, as Iliman Ndiaye added a third goal to complete a dominant 3-0 win for Everton.
With the victory, Everton climbed to eighth place in the Premier League table with 46 points from 31 matches, while Chelsea remained in sixth place with 48 points from the same number of games.
