Damauli, April 1: Baudikali rural municipality of Nawalpur has bagged an award in the inter-local level volleyball competition organized at Belchautara of Shuklagandaki municipality-5 in Tanahu district.
The Baudikali team defeated a team from Arjunchaupari rural municipality in the tournament held under the 5th Shuklagandaki Festival on Tuesday. The players of Baudikali local level won the match in 3-2 set.
Earlier, Arjunchaupari rural municipality had entered the final after defeating Putalibazaar municipality of Syangja bazaar. Similarly, Baudikali rural municipality had defeated Shuklagandaki municipality to secure the final.
Putalibazaar municipality of Syangja became third in the tournament. The groups standing first, second and third were provided cash prizes of Rs 200 thousand, Rs 150 thousand and Rs 50,000 respectively. They were also handed over trophies, medal and certificates.
