Kathmandu, Jan 18: Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balen Shah, has resigned from his post. Shah submitted his resignation to Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol on Sunday.
He is set to contest the upcoming election from Jhapa–5 as a candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). The party has also designated Shah as a senior leader.
