Kathmandu, March 25: President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday administered the oath of office and secrecy to senior-most House of Representatives member Arjun Narasingh KC. The ceremony was held at the President’s official residence, Shital Niwas.
The event was attended by Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, along with heads of constitutional bodies, diplomatic mission chiefs, and senior government officials.
KC, elected through the proportional representation system from the Nepali Congress, is the senior-most member among those elected in the House elections held on March 4. Of the total seats, 165 were filled through the first-past-the-post system and 110 through proportional representation.
KC is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected House members on Thursday, March 26.
