Kathmandu, Nov, 8: Nepal Police Inspector General (IGP) Dr. Manoj Kumar KC has directed police officials to strengthen security arrangements in the Kathmandu Valley ahead of the upcoming festive season.
Speaking at a programme organised by the Kathmandu Valley Police Office at Nepal Police Blue Pavilion in Ranipokhari on Sunday, KC instructed officials to identify possible security threats and prepare effective plans to address them.
He emphasised the need to maintain law and order during the festive period and ensure that people can celebrate festivals in a safe and secure environment.
KC also urged police personnel to maintain professionalism, discipline and accountability while delivering results through responsible and committed service.
The programme was attended by senior officials from the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Traffic Police Office, district police offices, Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and various subordinate police units.
