Manchester United suffer humiliating 4-1 defeat against Como

Agency, Oct 22: Manchester United’s winless run extended to seven matches after they suffered a crushing 4-1 defeat against Como in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Como delivered a dominant performance at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, with Nico Paz scoring twice, while Anastasios Douvikas and Jacobo Ramón added a goal each. Joshua Zirkzee scored United’s only goal.

Paz gave the hosts an early advantage, finding the net in just the second minute to put United on the back foot.

Como doubled their lead shortly after the restart when Douvikas scored in the 49th minute. Paz struck again eight minutes later, extending the home side’s advantage to 3-0.

Ramón added Como’s fourth goal in the 76th minute, capping off an impressive display and leaving United facing a heavy defeat. Zirkzee managed a consolation goal in stoppage time, but it did little to change the outcome.

The victory lifted Como to ninth place in the standings with six points from three matches. Manchester United, meanwhile, have collected just three points from the same number of games and sit 21st in the table.
