Agency, Sep 28: Portugal secured their second consecutive victory in the UEFA Nations League with a 2–1 win over Norway, while Germany suffered a surprise 1–0 defeat to Greece on Sunday night.
Portugal took the lead in the 17th minute at Ullevaal Stadion through João Félix, who finished to put the visitors ahead.
Norway responded early in the second half, with Erling Haaland finding the net in the 51st minute to level the score at 1–1.
Portugal restored their lead just three minutes later through Gonçalo Ramos. However, the forward’s goal was later ruled out for offside following a VAR review, denying Portugal the chance to extend their advantage.
Norway could not find another equalizer as Portugal held on for a 2–1 victory.
The win puts Portugal on six points from two matches, at the top of Group 4, while Norway remain second with three points.
In another match, Greece stunned Germany 1–0 to extend Germany’s winless run to three matches.
After a goalless first half, Dimitrios Kourbelis scored in the 74th minute to give Greece a crucial victory.
The result leaves Greece top of Group 2 with six points from two matches, while Germany have just one point and sit third in the group.
