One-way routes designated for Hetauda-Kathmandu travel

Hetauda, Sept 1: The district authority here has managed separate routes for the vehicles travelling on Hetauda-Kathmandu roadways to facilitate vehicular movement increased in the wake of disruption of the Prithvi Highway.

The light vehicles carrying less than 14 passengers are asked to use two different ways. Those travelling to Kathmandu from Hetauda will use Bhimbhedi-Dakshinkali route via Kulekhani, while those coming from Kathmandu to use Pharping-Bhimphedi via Phakhel and Kulekhani.

An officer at the District Administration Office in Hetauda, Santosh Subedi, informed RSS that the vehicles of truckloads and buses were asked to travel on the Tribhuvan Highway for going to Kathmandu and use the Kanti Highway while coming to Hetauda from Kathmandu.

The vehicular movement has increased much on the Hetauda-Kathmandu roadway following the obstruction of Prithvi Highway at Krishnabhir.

The new arrangement for the vehicles is expected to reduce traffic congestion.
